What Is Reiki?
A Brief Overview of Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive, extra to our physical being. If one’s life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means Universal or Higher Power/Energy (from positive higher forces outside of our own, you may call it the Universe, God/Angels, Gaia etc) and Ki which is life force energy (from your own personal energy). So Reiki is actually close in English to “spiritually guided life force energy.”

Experience the radiant glow of Reiki, a holistic treatment that nurtures the body, emotions, mind, and spirit. This practice fosters relaxation, peace, security, and well-being, with many reporting transformative results.
Reiki is a natural, safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement suitable for everyone. It complements all medical and therapeutic techniques, promoting recovery and alleviating side effects.
Reiki is not reliant on intellectual or spiritual development and is available to everyone. Although spiritual, Reiki is not a religion and requires no specific beliefs. It works independently of belief and often deepens one’s connection to their own spiritual experience.
Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, encouraged living in harmony with others through simple ethical principles, which resonate across all cultures, promoting peace and harmony.
